Expert Determination provides a focused decision by an independent specialist where the dispute turns on technical, valuation, accounting, construction, property or other specialist issues.

The process is narrower than full arbitration and can be tailored to the question that needs expert judgment. It is useful where parties need a clear answer from someone with subject-matter expertise.
